Mommy Makeover

Have Pregnancy, Childbearing, and Nursing Taken Their Toll on Your Body?

A Mommy Makeover is a highly customized procedure tailored to restoring your figure after pregnancy, childbearing, and/or nursing. The goal is to achieve maximum results with a single recovery so you can get back to your busy life as a new mother as quickly as possible. Longwood Plastic Surgery offers a variety of treatment options that can effectively address your individual concerns.

How Does A Mommy Makeover Work?

Mommy Makeover procedures are typically done for aesthetic purposes. The term ‘Mommy Makeover’ is a name for a combination of procedures that are done in a single session. Treatments are typically done under general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art surgical center or in a hospital setting if an overnight stay is requested.

Some of the most commonly requested procedures associated with a Mommy Makeover include one or more of the following:

Aside from the above-mentioned procedures, a Mommy Makeover can also involve labiaplasty for vaginal rejuvenation, a lower body lift, and/or facial rejuvenation. You’re essentially able to tackle any post-pregnancy related concerns you’re facing with a Mommy Makeover.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?

The ideal candidate for a Mommy Makeover is an otherwise healthy woman who is ready to restore her pre-pregnancy figure. In most cases, our surgeons suggest waiting 3-6 months for your body to recover from childbearing before considering the procedure. Women should wait 6+ months after nursing prior to breast enhancement procedures. In addition, a Mommy Makeover is best suited for women who are done family planning.

FAQ’s

Results from your Mommy Makeover will be entirely unique to you. While some initial results can be seen immediately, most women start to see significant improvement as post-surgical swelling subsides within 2-4 weeks. Continued improvement can occur anywhere from several months and up to 1-year.

Most women are surprised to learn that pairing procedures into a single session doesn’t add much time to their overall recovery. In fact, you can typically expect your recovery to be equal to that of your most invasive treatment. After carefully assessing your concerns, your surgeon will discuss every aspect of your upcoming procedure in-depth including projected results and recovery.
